January 6, 1970

Dear Liz,
Today I got to see Joel again. He rode on our bus on the way to his baseball practice. It's not very far but it's better to see him a little bit than not at all.
Looking at what I said yesterday, I forgot to tell you how old the kids were that we kept and what their names were. Angela, the girl, is 14 and in my class at school. Sandy, her brother, is 17, and in Jon's class at school.
Well I can't think of anything else to say so bye now.
          Love,
               Yvonne

  1. Miriam, I didn't know you were doing this. It's very cool. I hope I smile a lot instead of cry. I miss her so.

And if you ever find my diaries after I die, and decide to do this sort of thing with them, I will come back from the grave and haunt you until you stop. Just saying.

    Love you!

  3. That's really special, Mir! Brings back some great memories of the family that cared enough to take in the fatherless at Christmas! I'll never forget. Love you! Angela
